The bright colors of Hakka fabric were created by traditional Taiwanese, and the colors present some unique design elements that are used to construct textile pattern. The high color contrast of Hakka fabric enhances visual effect of the pattern, and it also influences the layout of design elements. The background color which is derived from traditional Hakka clothing represents the traditional Hakka spirit and immigrant society in Taiwan. The cyan background and elements with warm tones create strongly contrast and interesting conflict. The varied peony flower shapes which were placed around the textile pattern represent health and fortune. In addition, they show the magnificent color and principle of repletion. The dragon which dominates the pattern shows that the Taiwanese culture was deeply influenced by Chinese culture. The Tung flowers and plum blossoms which were placed behind the dragon represent multi-culture in this Island and emphasize the spirit of Taiwan.
